We all know that Nelson Dilipkumar got the chance to direct Superstar Rajinikanth's 169th film after the release of his upcoming biggie 'Beast' with Thalapathy Vijay. 'Thalaivar 169', with music by Anirudh and bankrolled by Sun Pictures, was announced with a special video in February.

As per the latest reports, the makers are planning to kickstart the shooting of 'Thalaivar 169' by August month. The talented filmmaker had revealed in a recent interview that the movie will begin only after July. On the other hand, sources say that Rajinikanth is headed to the United States for his usual visit.

There is a strong buzz that Priyanka Mohan is playing Rajini's daughter in 'Thalaivar 169' alongside the reports that Sivakarthikeyan is likely to essay a cameo and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is approached to play the female lead role. The team is currently in talks with various artists and finalising the cast and crew.
