Superstar Rajnikanth who has completed his AR Murugadoss directed Darbar has signed his 168th movie with top production house Sun Pictures, and this movie will be directed by Siva, who has given one of the biggest hits of the year with Thala Ajith starrer Viswasam.

Thalaivar 168 was launched today with a customary poojai held in Chennai, and the event witnessed the presence of the heroines Meena and Khushbu, actor George Maryan, Music director D Imman, cinematographer Vetri, lyricist Viveka, costume designer Anu Vardhan.

Thalaivar 168 also stars Keerthy Suresh, Prakashraj and Soori, and the movie is said to be a village backdrop family mass entertainer, which will be on the lines of Superstar's Padayappa. Thalaivar 168 is expected to release in mid 2020.
