Its official that South Super Star Rajinikanth's next film is not with South film wizard Shanker, whose sequel ENTHIRAN 2, was much in news. Instead the veteran Super Star has given his nod to the young and dynamic film director and writer Pa Ranjith, who has to his credit two successful Tamil films viz. ATTAKATHI and MADRAS.
Elated at the Rajinikanth signing the dotted line to do his forthcoming untitled Tamil film, Ranjith, said, “I am quite delighted that I have the pleasure of working with Rajni sir. Its dream comes true.”
Insiders reveal that Rajinikanth after his past two flops films - LINGAA and KOCHADAIIYAAN, has agreed to do the film with new director Ranjith after being overwhelmed by Ranjith's past two film, particularly, MADRAS, which won rave reviews.
The eminent national daily The Hindu impressed by the film had written, Rarely does one get to see a Tamil film that reflects the social reality so closely and sketching a detailed account of life that the middle and the upper middle class know little about. Full marks to director Pa. Ranjith for that.'
No sooner did Rajinikanth signed the film, quick on his toes Rajinikanth's publicist Riaz K Ahmed tweeted, "gud news to all thalaivar fans. @superstarrajini @theVcreations @beemji movie announced just Now (sic)."
Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya Rajnikanth too took to twitter and tweeted - Appa s next confirmed : Thanu uncle and @beemji are going to rock this one !!!
The untitled film is being produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, who incidentally was the distributor of Rajinikanth first solo hero Tamil movie BHAIRAVI in 1978 and to give a boost to the film's publicity he had for the first time coined the tag line Superstar' for Rajinikanth, which till date adheres with Thalaiva Rajinikanth!
The movie will have music by Santosh Narayanan. The casting of other stars, including a heroine opposite Rajinikanth, is still in the process.
The movie will shot extensively in foreign locations like Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong etc.
