In a recent interview, Ajith was candid about his present roles, his passion, responsibilities and perspective on a lot of things. Speaking to the media, Ajith conveyed his satisfaction of having matured as an actor. I have done romantic roles in my youth, but now I insist that I do roles that suit my present looks. I am glad 'Mankathaa' and 'Billa 2' came my way. 'Arrambam' and 'Veeram' also follow suit. As with 'Arrambam', my role is stylish and along the lines of 'Billa'. AM Ratnam's films have always had a strong social impact, and so will 'Arrambam' carry a universal message. While 'Veeram' on the other hand portrays me in a rustic role, with me sporting a dhoti most of the time. However, acting in such roles as my recent films, with a slightly negative shade, does not entirely take away the romance for you! quips Ajith.

Having been a bike and car racer since the age of 18, Ajith's passion for speed is carefully interlinked with his responsibility of safety. Whenever he goes on a bike ride, he does not set out without all the biking gear. His dedication is so sincere that he always performs most of the risky stunts himself, instead of using a double. We actors have a lot of respect for body doubles who help us complete very risky shots. However, audience these days can spot a badly synced body double shot. We have to give them the worth of their money. That is why I perform many stunts on my own. I believe I am a professional actor, I am paid to enact the role that the director has envisioned, though I offer suggestions wherever possible, to enhance the movie as whole says the actor who considers paying tax on time is one of the most important responsibilities of every citizen.

After wrapping up 'Arrambam' and 'Veeram', Ajith is planning for a six month vacation abroad, which he invest in his other prominent passions - flying, aero modelling and photography.
