Chennai Super Kings, one of the iconic franchises in IPL history, has now qualified for the IPL finals yet again. The Yellow Brigade became the first team to qualify for the finals (to be held in Ahmedabad) this year by defeating the defending champions Gujarat Titans by 15 runs.

The star club has been a part of the league for 14 seasons captained by MS Dhoni. CSK is the only team to enter the playoffs 12 times and the only team to qualify for the finals 10 times. The Super Kings have won 4 trophies over these years. We have to wait to see if Thala Dhoni-led CSK lifts the trophy yet again.

Cricketing stars like Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa, Virender Sehwag and many others wished for CSK's record of being the most consistent team in the IPL. On the other hand, CSK registered their first win against Gujarat Titans last night after losing to them in 3 previous fixtures. The match took place in MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, Chennai.

Gujarat Titans are known for being a stronger chasing side but Thala Dhoni prevented them from chasing the 173 target set by CSK last night through his brilliant captaincy. CSK's first blow against GT comes in a crucial playoff game and defended the score against them successfully. Also, CSK is the first team in IPL to bowl Gujarat Titans all out.
