Actor Suresh Gopi has been one of the popular heroes in Malayalam film industry and has acted in many blockbuster movies as hero, and has also acted in Tamil in movies like Thala Ajith starrer Dheena and also as the villain in Shankar's I starring Chiyaan Vikram.

Suresh Gopi, who is now a BJP MP, had got two luxury cars before two years, and had registered the cars in Pondicherry to avoid paying high taxes, and had registered the cars with fake documents. Kerala crime branch police had filed a case against him for tax evasion.

After this tax evasion of 25 lakhs, Suresh Gopi had surrendered and was later released on bail, and now the crime branch police will be submitting a chargesheet against the actor in Trivandrum Chief judicial magistrate court, and the actor will face court trial soon. Earlier, actors Fahadh Faasil and Amala Paul were also named in similar cases.
