K. R. Sachidanandan who was fondly called Sachy gave impressive films in a variety of genres in Mollywood, died on June 18, last year due to complications after surgery leaving a void in the industry that will never be filled.

His last film, 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum', starring Prithviraj and Biju Menon, was released in 2020. The film went on to win several hearts and was one of the year's most critically acclaimed films. Several celebrities called the late director to express their appreciation for the film.

It was then revealed that one of them was Thala Ajith, who had called the director after watching the acclaimed film to congratulate him. A few sections of the media even denied the news.

Now In a video, the wife of the late director has clearly stated that Thala Ajith did call her husband and expressed his desire to work with him and even offered to visit Kochi for a narration.  However, Sachy had told Ajith that he is undergoing medical treatment and once he gets better and travel is allowed (pandemic issues) he would visit Chennai to narrate it to him.

According to Sachy's wife the late director was very much excited about meeting Thala Ajith and had told her that it would be a subject based on Dhanushkodi demanding a very grand scale of production that would take him to the next level.  Sadly, fate snatched him away so early and fans were deprived of a chance to watch Thala Ajith in the direction of such an intense screenwriter and filmmaker.
