Thala Ajith's 'Vivegam' and other V blockbusters

It is clearly a case of V for Victory as far as Thala Ajith is concerned. His latest first look and title Vivegam' has taken been the trending topic for close to a week now and its time for us to take a look at the other films which have become blockbusters with the V connection.
The very first commercial hit of Ajith was Vanmathi' directed by Agathiyan in the year 1996 and three years later when he needed a big break it came with S. J. Suriyah's Vaali'. Again a few films did not do well and just when fans were tiring came Villain' a blockbuster by K. S. Ravikumar which also won Thala awards. In 2006 the Aasai Nayagan again was in need of a surge and it was provided by another V connect, Varalaaru' again by K. S. Ravikumar in which Thala rocked in triple roles.
Siruthai Siva gave Ajith two of his biggest money grossers Veeram' and Vedalam' and no prices for guessing that this summer it will be a hattrick for the duo if not for anything else but to prove the magical V factor in Thala's career.
