Thala Ajith's current project 'Valimai' is nearing completion and the shooting will be totally wrapped up after a major sequence to be shot in foreign locations. The film is directed by H. Vinod and produced by Boney Kapoor with Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music and Nirav Shah behind the camera. The release has been planned for August this year.

There is huge curiosity as to what would be the next movie for Ajith after 'Valimai' with some sources suggesting that the same combo might repeat for 'Thala 61' as well. Meanwhile there was a hot buzz that Ajith might star in an ambitious project before that.

It was said that Mohan Lal has approached Thala Ajith to play an important role in his directorial debut 'Barroz' which is a children's fantasy film. Mohan Lal at the launch event of the film clarified that it's a baseless rumor and he never approached the mass hero for his film. Of course, it is disappointing to fans of both Mohan Lal and Ajith who would have loved an opportunity to witness them on screen together for the first time ever.

Barroz' apart from Mohan Lal and Prithviraj has many Indian and international stars in the cast and fifteen-year-old Lydian Nadaswaram is debuting as music director.
