Last weeks torrential rains that flooded Chennai and other parts of the state is recorded as the worst such catastrophe in the past century. Theaters all over the state registered pathetic attendance, but one film that continues to defy even the rain gods is Thala Ajith`s Vedalam`

Industry sources reveal that the Ajith-Shruti Haasan-Lakshmi Menon starrer Vedalam` directed by Siruthai Siva which completes one month at the box office has collected a staggering Rs.110 Crores worldwide so far against its budget of Rs. 60 Crores.
