Thala Ajith who was seen lastly in the Pink remake Ner Konda Paarvai directed by H Vinoth is next acting in his 60th movie Valimai which is also directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP which produced Ner Konda Paarvai as well.

Valimai began shooting last year in Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City and few scenes were also shot in Chennai. The movie will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Nirav Shah, and there were recent speculations that Yami Gautam will be the female lead of this movie.

However, now fresh speculations are making the rounds that Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi who had made her Tamil debut in Superstar Rajnikanth's Kaala might be playing the female lead in Valimai. While an official clarification on this rumour is awaited, it must be noted that Huma was the first choice to play Ajith's pair in Billa 2.
