Actor Bala, who has acted in movies like Anbu, Kalinga, Kadhal Kisukisu as the hero, had later acted in several Malayalam movies, and was also seen as Thala Ajith's brother in the 2014 movie Veeram, which was also incidentally directed by his brother Siva.

Bala and singer Amrutha fell in love and had got married in 2010, and the couple have a daughter named Avanthika. However after difference of opinion, Bala and Amrutha were staying away from each other, and also requested media not to report about their family issues.
