Following the success of Nerkonda Paarvai, fans of Ajith are eagerly waiting for an official update regarding the actor's upcoming project, Valimai, directed by H.Vinoth, from the team.

It has been reported that the first and second schedules of the film have been wrapped in Ramoji Film City and Chennai, respectively, and there will be subsequent shooting in Hyderabad and some northern parts of the country. It is already known that Ajith plays the role of a cop in the movie, and meanwhile, an entertainment portal has reported that the name of Ajith's character in 'Valimai' is Easwaramoorthy IPS. However, there has been no official confirmation of the same and an update regarding the same is awaited from the team.

Produced by Boney Kapoor under his banner, Bayview Projects LLP, Valimai is slated for a Diwali 2020 release. Also starring 'Kaala' actress Huma Qureshi in the lead, the music of the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
