Thala Ajith gave back to back blockbuster hit movies 'Viswasam' and 'Nerkonda Paarvai' in 2019 and has completed almost fifty percent of his next 'Valimai' directed by H. Vinod and produced by Boney Kapoor. The big budget action entertainer has Thala as a super cop and Huma Qureshi as the leading lady with Karthikeya and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles. The shooting will resume after the coronavirus pandemic subsides and a Pongal 2021 release is planned.

Meanwhile there is a hot update on Ajith's next movie 'Thala 61' and the buzz is that Gokulam Studios has reportedly sealed the deal to produce. The prestigious banner has produced several big budget movies in Malayalam with superstars Mammootty and Mohan Lal and all other leading heroes there. In Tamil the banner was behind Kamal Haasan's 'Thoonga Nagaram' and Harish Kalyan's 'Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale'.

Earlier it was reported that Sun Pictures would bankroll 'Thala 61' but sources swear that it is indeed Gokulam Studios and even suggest that Ajith like always has signed a two film deal which is the formula the mass hero falls in the recent past.
