Thala Ajith's 'Viswasam' directed by Siruthai Siva is releasing on Pongal 2019 and is one of the most anticipated films in Tamil cinema. There is huge curiosity over the next movie of the box office king and its long been rumored that it would be the remake of the Hindi film 'Pink' starring Amitabh Bachan and Tapsee Pannu. There was however no official confirmation of the same till no though it has been confirmed that Boney Kapoor is producing 'Thala 59' and H Vinod of 'Theeran Adhigaram Ondru' is directing.

Now the creative producer of 'Pink' Shoojith Sircar has confirmed that 'Thala 59' is indeed the remake of his film and has also revealed that H. Vinod is making changes to the script to suit the superstar status of Ajith. Sircar has let out that though he liked Anirudha's rendering of the story in Hindi he respects the decision of the Tamil team to effect changes.

Thala Ajith will be playing the role of an aging lawyer who takes up the case of three women in a sexual assault case. It is said that the shooting will start in the third week of December when the rest of the cast and crew details will be unveiled.
