Ajay Devgan's portrayal of idealistic police officer in 'Singham' is one of the most iconic characters of Bollywood. The role was originally played to perfection by Tamil star, Suriya. Although, Ajay was the perfect choice for the Hindi adaptation of Suriya's character, the actor won't reprise the role in the Hindi remake of 'Singham 3'.

The main antagonist of the 'Singham 3', Thakur Anoop Singh will switch the role and will play the protagonist in the Hindi adaptation. Ajay would've been perfect but it'd interesting to see what Anoop brings to the table. He was elated to bag the role.

He said, "Suriya sir is a superstar and a powerhouse of talent. I am a fan of his skills, work ethics, dedication and passion for his work. Stepping into his character that he has immortalised and made his own, in itself is a big responsibility and an honor that has been bestowed upon me. He made Singam as a cop a benchmark, and I will try my level best to justify the same. But yes, I will add my own flavor to it as well.”
