After almost a year of calm, Prashanth is now all set to rock everyone with Thagappansamy. Since Ayudham last year, the actor has not had any release.

Back with Thagappansamy, Prashanth says, 'Hopefully this movie will bring me joy. It has shaped well and has everything in it to appeal to all sections of the masses'.

Produced by Thirumalai Films and directed by Shivashanmugham, the movie has Pooja and Namitha giving company to Prashanth. Prominent among the supporting lines are Karunas and Kanja Karuppu.

Sticking to the formula of an angry young man trying to reform the society is Shivashanmugham. 'You will not find contrived situations. Though the film has been in keeping with the present genre, the treatment will be different. Have done my best to give it a different coating.'

Producer P S Gopal said the movie was shot in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. 'That is in demand of the storyline with unlimited action. It will be an entertainer with a brisk pace.'

Srikanth Deva's brisk background score with earthy screenplay by Shivashanmugham are added values to the movie, says Sivashanmugham.

S Sridhar, having been to associate to cinematographer Priyan, has cranked the camera.

First among the half-a-dozen movies under production starring Prashanth in the lead role to grace theatres, Thagappansamy, according to Sivashanmugham would be a different experience for the masses and sure to take Prashanth's stocks several times up.
