Thackeray consents to Big B's apology

Following Jaya Bachan's alleged anti-Marathi remarks at the audio launch of Drona, the agitated MNS chief Raj Thackeray intiated a state wide protest against the Bachchans family. The MP and actress Jaya Bachchan along with her family was threatened to stall releases of the upcoming movies 'The last lear' and 'Drona'. The threat was elevated to a greater extent to ban any movies of the Bachchan's family to be released in maharastra and Mumbai. The MNS Party demanded an unconditional apology tendered by Jaya over her remarks.
After the open apology made to the press by Amitabh on Sep 10th with regarding to his wife's comment, Thackeray had consented to his apology and made the agitation alleviated. Consequently, Bachchan starrer 'The Last Lear' will now have an incessant release in Mumbai and rest of
Shubho Shekhar Bhattacharji, CEO of Planman Motion Pictures said,' We are glad to be able to make the release as the protest has been withdrawn. Mumbai, being the prominent market is expected to generate a gross of thirty percent revenue for the flick. It was a mishap for the premiere show to be declared void at the last moment.'
Amitabh Bachchan, who has experienced similar hassles in the past handled this issue amicably and has avoided further controversies. Jaya Bachchan should be cautious in her speech in the future and should heed to her spouse's words this time.
