The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) on Sunday rejected an invitation from the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), to hold talks to find an amicable solution to the ongoing tussle in the industry.

Citing a court order that office-bearers of the Producers Council should not take part in any discussions till April 13, vice-president of TFPC T Siva said hence they could attend the joint meeting.

Meanwhile, the Producers Council has floated new workers' association and going ahead with the shootings of few movies, with police protection. Shootings of Karthi's 'Alex Pandian' and Karunas's 'Ragalaipuram' took place in Chennai.

According to R K Selvamani, the new union titled Tamil Nadu Film Employees Welfare Association is not against workers. It is only to ensure employees get fair wages. All that we oppose is the blackmail attitude of few FEFSI office-bearers.
