Coronavirus is having a huge impact all over the country, and Tamil Nadu is one of the worst affected states of the country with more than 35,000 cases and numerous deaths as well, which is highly alarming.
With Chennai being the city with maximum number of cases and most deaths as well in Tamil Nadu, efforts are being made to strengthen lockdown and on the other hand, yesterday there was an announcement from Chennai corporation commissioner that anyone tested for corona will be quarantined, and all their family members also will be quarantined for 14 days. Actress Kasthuri, who's active on Twitter has questioned this idea, saying that this will reduce the number of tests.
Kasthuri has tweeted "Chennai corpn says it will quarantine 14 days anyone who is tested for corona. why? Result may come in 2 or 3 days. If result is negative, why should they remain in quarantine? If this is the rule, then people with symptoms won't come forward , testing will go down, covid positive numbers will go down. Perhaps that's the idea."
