Testing time for Ankitha

So far she has had just a couple of releases. Her last release, Vijayendra Varma, was a major embarrassment for all concerned.

And whatever that has been written about her have been about the less than mini dresses she wears and the other controversies she finds herself from time to time.

So it is now time for Ankitha Jhaveri, the heroine we are talking about, to prove her mettle.

The two films of her set for release in February may provide the impetus, she feels.

Manasu Mata Vinadu and Thaka Dhimi Tha. The audio of both the films has hit the markets and they are doing fine.

Ankitha plays typical roles in both the films --- youthful lover ones.

In Manasu Mata Vinadu, she is paired with the controversial Navdeep. In Thaka Dhimi Tha, newcomer Yuvakrishna plays the hero.

Ankitha says the controversies surrounding Mansu Mata Vinadu are over. She was in fact seen presenting a happy picture at the audio release of the film. (Grapevine had it that she was paid an extra amount to bury the hatchet).

Anyway, Thaka Dhimi Tha is another fun film, she says and "it is being simultaneously made in Tamil too".

Ankitha, as befits a hopeful young heroine, wants to make her presence felt in other languages too.

But before that, she needs to give at least one hit. Both Manasu and Thaka provide a good opportunity for that as the heroes in the two films are no heavyweights and a success in any one of them will redound to Ankitha's credit.

She knows that. That's why she has given her best and now waiting with bated breath.
