Deepika and Ranveer find a new fan in Tesla co-founder Elon Musk

Elon Musk, billionaire tech entrepreneur and co-founder of SpaceX and Tesla, took to Twitter on Friday to post a GIF of Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh from the movie Bajirao Mastani, and attached a link to the song “Deewani Mastani” from the same movie along with it, captioning the post “Bajirao Mastani” with a couple of yellow hearts. To say that this gesture took the Indian netizens by surprise would be an understatement. The lack of explanation, as is always the case with Musk’s cryptic tweets, left most of the users puzzled.

Along with Ranveer Singh, Bajirao Mastani also stars Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in the lead. The song Deewani Mastani, posted by Elon Musk, was sung by Shreya Ghoshal. It received widespread acclaim from audience and critics right after its release. The movie’s distributor Eros International commented on Musk’s tweet suggesting him to watch Bajirao Mastani on Eros Now.
