Everybody dies: Elon Musk on COVID-19 risk, says he won't take vaccine

During his interview on an episode of a podcast in The New York Times, Tesla and Space X CEO Elon Musk mentioned that neither he nor will his family get the vaccine for Covid-19 as they are apparently not at risk of contracting the virus.
Despite the fact that there has been no evidence by far that any individual in the world is less vulnerable to the viral infection, Elon Musk made the statement, much to the surprise of people. He also suggested that a nationwide lockdown was not an effective idea to control the spread of the virus. I am not at risk, neither are my kids. I mean this is a hot button issue where rationality takes a back seat. In the grand scheme of things what we have is something with a very low mortality rate and high contagion. Essentially, the right thing to do would be to not have done a lockdown for the whole country but to have, I think, anyone who's at risk should be quarantined until the storm passes, the billionaire reportedly said. When the interviewer went on to mention that the virus has resulted in the deaths of thousands of people and could also potentially lead to more deaths, Elon replied, Everybody dies.
Elon Musk also took a jibe at Microsoft's co-founder Bill Gates, who had earlier stated that Elon needed to stick to what he knew best. Elon's positioning is to maintain a high level of outrageous comments. He's not much involved in vaccines. He makes a great electric car. And his rockets work well. So he's allowed to say these things. I hope that he doesn't confuse areas he's not involved in too much, Bill Gates had said. Elon Musk retorted, It's like, hey, knucklehead, we actually make the vaccine machines for CureVac, that company you're invested in.
