Tenaliraman
Vaigaipuyal is back, and is it with a bang? Well, the release of this period flick is not far way for its audio is already doing its bits of promotion. There has been quite a number of questions targeted at the comedy star Vadivelu, if he was hiding, why did he not sign up any movies and plenty more! But one look at the trailer shows the man is still in the league and no signs of fatigue, fear or backing out. Directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan, the movie will be a sort of time travel to 15th century with colorful manifestation of our culture and happenings. Vadivelu portrays a dual role that of a King and his loyal minister as well. Knowing Vadivelu, his efficiency in working on periodic films is nothing new and he has a load of experience in that domain. The movie stuck its fair lot of controversies for depicting the wise Tenali Raman in a degradable way, however the production company AGS and director Yuvraj were quick to clarify as the characters portrayed isfictious and the team has only taken inspiration. That said, we need to see the movie on how much of relevance its going to take. The movie has an ensemble cast leading with Vadivelu, Meenaxi Dixit, Radha Ravi, Manobala, Mansoor Ali Khan and so on. Apart from some rich artwork, the film also boasts some heavy CGI work, almost an hour and half have been given the graphical touch. Vadivelu has counted quite heavily on the young director Yuvaraj whose previous flick was with cricketer Sadagopan Ramesh's PottaPotti. Imman is the music composer of this flick, and the man is already a melody king with a classical touch. The album has some sweet listens, however for a period flick the BGM is something the director would heavily depend on, will have to wait and see the outcome.
