Its been ten years since Tamil cinema's first full-fledged spoof movie 'Thamizh Padam' released on 29th January 2010. The film catapulted Mirchi Shiva to Agila Ulaga Superstar and spawned the sequel 'Thamizh Padam 2' and costarred Disha Pandey, Venniraaadai Murthy, Manobala, M.S. Bhaskar, Paravai Muniyamma and Sathish. The sequel 'Thamizh Padam 2' released in 2018 also became a super hit.

C.S. Amudhan has posted on social media "Tomorrow is 10 years since Tamizh Padam released & marks 10 yrs in the industry for me, Sashikanth and Y Not Studios. Taking into consideration the safety of our fans we have avoided a grand event in Nehru Stadium. We will instead be releasing a poster at 1pm tomorrow #10YearsOfTP". So gear up folks for a Tamil Padam special at 1pm tomorrow January 29th.
