1) Suriya the brilliant actor has performed the dual roles of the father and son to such perfection that it is a treat to watch. The casual Madras Tamil speaking Massu expresses naughtiness, love, anger, angst and grief with the appropriate body language. But Suriya as Shakthi the ghost is ashen faced with no muscle movement in his face and the stunning way the consummate actor expresses every emotion with only eyes making this one of the best character portrayals in his career.

2) Venkat Prabhu hits his massive sixer in the soul stirring Piravi song when Massu helps the ghosts find eternal peace by fulfilling their remaining wishes. The entire sequence not only brings genuine tears to our eyes, but also makes us think about how unpredictable life is and how important it is to take care of our loved ones.

3) The action sequences are brilliantly choreographed by fight master Silva and Suriya has performed the gravity defying stunts with amazing agility to the full satisfaction of action lovers.

4) Premgi Amaran is a revelation in this film as all his jokes work big time and there is also a thin line of tragedy attached to the character which makes one fall for him and he gets to score solo in the climax when he possesses a goon.

5) Sriman as the sales rep ghost, Mottai Rajendran as Jolly ghost along with Karunaas and the other ghosts provide laughter whenever they appear on screen especially in the climax.

6) Veteran actor Parthiban is a scream in all the scenes he appears in and does not disappoint one bit with his witty portrayal of a corrupt cop. Samuthirakani and Riyaz Khan also have roles that we are not used to seeing them in and this is a plus.

7) The CG work in the film is good and will definitely appeal to children and adults alike.

8) Yuvan Shankar Raja`s BGM elevates the film to a different level, aided by the slick editing by Praveen KL and adept cinematography by R.D. Rajashekar.

9) At a time when so many perceptions of ghosts are being explored in Tamil cinema for the past few years, but Venkat Prabhu`s rendering of them as souls who are looking for a way to find peace is a little closer to the truth.

10) Venkat Prabhu is one director who does not stay in his comfort zone and has the guts to experiment with genres right from his first film. Here he has taken the horror comedy genre in his hands, and has presented the film in an entertaining manner to a great extent.
