The month of December will be a heavily congested season for film releases in Mollywood. At least ten films including some from the biggies are planning to make a try at the Box Office, this month.
This weekend, that is on third and fourth of December, five films are planning to be in the fray. The major movie in the offering will be RenjithÂs ÂPalery MaanikyamÂ-Oru Pathira Kolapathainte Katha featuring Mammootty in triple roles. The other films for the weekend will include JayaramÂs ÂMy Big FatherÂ, Namitha-Bala-Kalabhavan ManiÂs ÂBlack Stallion directed by Pramod -Pappan, VK Prakash's Jayasuriya ÂKunchacko Boban movie, ÂGulumal-The Escape and Shankar PanikkarÂs ÂKeralotsavam 2009Â.
The other films planned for this December will include DileepÂs Siddhique movie ÂBodyguardÂ, MohanlalÂs 'Ivide Swargamaanu and MammoottyÂs ÂChattambinaaduÂ. The last two biggies are charted for this Christmas season, to fight out with Saji Surendran's multistarrer ÂHappy HusbandsÂ. Two offbeat ventures that may get to theatres this month, will include Mammootty's ÂKutty Shranku and Priyanandanan's ÂSufi Paranja KathaÂ.
With such a heavy release schedules, chances are that some of the films in this list may postpone their release dates to the first weeks of January, which is normally a season of few movies.
