Director Mohan Raja had made his debut in Tamil with the movie Jayam, which was the remake of the Telugu movie Jayam, and even before the release of Jayam, he had directed the Telugu movie Hanuman Junction, starring Action King Arjun, Jagapathi Babu, Sneha and Laya.
Hanuman Junction was the official remake of Malayalam hit Thenkasipattanam and the Telugu version was also a super success. 20 years after the release of Hanuman Junction, the movie's distributor has constructed a temple in memory of the success.
Jithendra Reddy was one of the distributors of Hanuman Junction, and he had prayed before the release of the movie that if the movie succeeds, he will erect a statue for Hanuman. The Hanuman statue is 54 feet tall, and the temple's Kumbabishekam happens today, revealed Editor Mohan, the producer of the movie and Mohan Raja's father, in a recent interview.
