Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, his son Ram Charan Teja and Pooja Hegde have shared screen space in the film 'Acharya' directed by Koratala Siva. The movie is set to release in theatres around the world tomorrow. Now, the superstar has stated that the team has paid an interest of Rs 50 crores alone for the loan on the project.
Recently, Chiranjeevi met reporters in Hyderabad for the promotions of Acharya and he said, "Cinema industry was affected by the Corona pandemic just as all the other industries. The budget of this film was increased due to the delay caused by the lockdown. Can you imagine if we say that we have paid Rs 50 crores as an interest alone? One can easily make a movie with that Rs 50 crores."
"We spend more to give fans a better visual experience. We obviously have some expectations from the government when we spend like that. The government should allow us to charge extra for our films. We pay more taxes than others. So we have a right to ask this," added Chiranjeevi.
