Telugu film release dates to be rearranged?

With the onset of the third wave, 'Roudram Ranam Rudhiram' and 'Radhe Shyam' have been indefinitely postponed. What next for Telugu cinema? This is the question producers, distributors and actors have been saddled with.
The third wave will hopefully be short-lived, given the experience of South Africa and the nature of the Omicron variant. If the wave is over soon enough, 'RRR' and 'Radhe Shyam' will finalize their dates.
But what about other biggies such as 'Acharya'? 'Acharya', starring Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, is slated to hit the screens on February 4, followed by the likes of 'Bheemla Nayak' (February 25), 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' (April 1), 'KGF 2' (April 14) and others. Ravi Teja has 'Khiladi' (Feb 11) and 'Ramarao On Duty' (March 25) coming up. Nithiin has 'Macharla Niyojakavargam' coming up on April 29. Prabhas' 'Adipurush' and Vijay Deverakonda's 'Liger', both of which are pan India movies, are slated to be released in August.
If the current wave persists and theatres are shut down, the release dates of all these movies will have to be rejigged.
As things stand, Summer 2022 looks well-poised to accommodate big movies. Small movies will hope to cater to the audience in March and via OTT.
