After being lured in for a movie role and following projects, an upcoming actress in the Telugu film industry, whose identity remains silent, has approached the police for help and justice.

The actress was first approached by the director, Chalapati and the actor Srujan for a role in the movie. After being told that the shoot will take place in Bheemavaram, the actress believed them and traveled with them.

“Although I wanted to travel by train, the duo convinced me to travel from Hyderabad to Bhimavaram in a car. On the way, they started touching me inappropriately, and when I resisted, they hit me. They threw me in the backseat and tried to rape me. During the scuffle, our car collided with a lorry, and that's how I escaped from their clutches,” she narrated the horrifying incident.

However, the rapists didn`t stop there, they threatened her to not to inform the incident to anyone, if she did, she will not be getting any other opportunities.

"They even threatened me that I won't ever get any film if I talk about this incident to media or police,” she explains.

However, the actress took the bold move and reported the case to the police and the police have lodged a complaint under several sections and are currently on the hunt for the escaped hero. The director is in custody of police.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time an upcoming actress has been exploited by cruel lurkers in the movie industry.
