The Telangana Cinema Theater Owners Association on Tuesday evening decided to close cinema halls from Wednesday in view of the prevailing Covid-19 situation. With night curfew imposed till May 1, the Association has decided not to operate theatres for the time being.
As per an order by the government, no theatre shall remain open after 8 PM. This rules out evening shows as well, not just night shows. Since no noteworthy film is releasing this month, the Association's decision is not surprising.
'ISHQ', which is supposed to release on April 23, has been indefinitely postponed. 'Telangana Devudu', starring Srikanth and others, has also been postponed. 'Ek Mini Katha' on April 30 will not be arriving. Films like 'Ek Mini Katha' will also not be coming out.
