Kollywood actor Vivek's passing away has saddened many. TRS MP Santosh Kumar, who has been driving the Haritha Haram initiative, has declared that he will be completing the unfinished Green Kalam project, under which Vivek had planted 32.5 lakh saplings. The MP said that he will be bringing the total to one crore saplings.
"Thiru Vivek’s goal was to plant 1 crore saplings and he already could reach up to 32.5Lakhs. I personally see that the remaining task of his #GreenKalam project be completed under our #GreenIndiaChallenge and dedicate to him (sic)," Santosh Kumar tweeted.
Vivek's aim to plant one crore saplings came in for an indirect mention in Narendra Modi's condolence message on Saturday.
The actor, known for a wide variety of roles, passed away at 59. Boney Kapoor, in his condolence message, revealed that Sridevi was a big fan of Vivek.
Will make sure that his wish be fulfilled. Thiru Vivek’s goal was to plant 1 crore saplings and he already could reach up to 32.5Lakhs. I personally see that the remaining task of his #GreenKalam project be completed under our #GreenIndiaChallenge and dedicate to him.#RIPVivekh pic.twitter.com/MYGFWOf6p1
