Telangana police arrests Jani Master in the sexual misconduct case - Details

Renowned choreographer Jani Master recently made headlines for being accused in a sexual harassment case. The victim was one of his junior choreographers, stated in her complaint that she was assaulted by Jani multiple times since 2019 when she was a minor. This caused a stir in the film industry.

A complaint was filed against Jani Master at the Raidurgam police station on September 11. Following the complaint, Jani Master went into hiding, prompting a police search. In response to the allegations, he was removed from the Jana Sena Party and suspended by the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC).

Today, reports suggest that the Telangana police have arrested Jani Master in Bengaluru, brought to Hyderabad, and will be presented in court after undergoing a medical examination. Since the crime occurred when the complainant was under 18, a case was filed under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.
