As expected, a lockdown has been announced in Telangana from tomorrow (May 12th). The State Cabinet, led by K Chandrasekhar Rao, decided to impose lockdown for 10 days.
Like in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, there will be relaxation for a few hours. From 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., shops and establishments can remain in operation.

Telangana is the last major State in India to impose lockdown in the second wave. There was pressure in the form of public opinion to take the lockdown route. But KCR was not in favour.
Even now, Telangana has gone in for the option because the High Court forced its hands.
The 10-day lockdown is likely to get extended unless there is a sharp dip in cases.
