Telangana logs 2,092 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

Telangana's numbers continue to grow at a steady pace, with this week witnessing a spike. On a day the KCR government decided to test more than 40,000 samples on a daily basis, TG logged 2,092 cases in 24 hours (as of August 5, 8PM).
With 13 deaths in the 24-hour period, the cumulative fatality number stands at 589.
So far, the Telugu State has got 73,050 cases. The number of recovered cases stands at 52,103, with 1,289 recovering in the past 24 hours.
Case fatality rate is 0.80%. The cumulative recovery rate stands at 71.3%, which is more than India's cumulative recovery rate of 67.19%.
The total number of active cases now stands at 20,358. As many as 13,793 individuals are in home or institutional isolation in the State.
