Telangana: Important change in vaccination policy

The Telangana health authorities have announced a change to the vaccination policy. So far, walk-ins have been in force in the State for individuals aged above 45. That's not the case any longer.

The Director of Public Health on Monday announced that the State Health Department has decided to make vaccination available only on pre-booking basis at Government Centres.

He added that, in the GHMC region, about 200 slots will be available, while the number is pegged at 100 in others.

It may be noted that, for individuals aged above 18, walk-ins havent been allowed from day 1. Only registered ones are allowed to walk in.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been taking care of the Health portfolio after Etala Rajender was removed last week.
