Telangana government to hold multiple screenings of film on Gandhi

The 75th Independence Day celebrations are going to take place from Aug 9 to 22 in Telangana. The Telugu State is joining the rest of the country in celebrating the event.
On Friday, at a presser held with the Film Chamber of Commerce representatives, Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that, under the able leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, flags will be distributed to each house for hoisting on Aug 15.
As part of the celebrations, the government is going to arrange multiple screenings of a docu-drama on the life and contributions made by Mahatma Gandhi. ABout 2.77 lakh seats will be filled on 563 screens across the State.
The government will be taking care of the logistics related to the screenings. It will also be supplying goodies. The idea behind the screenings is to promote patriotic thinking in citizens.
The initiative has been supported by Suniel Narang, the prominent exhibitor and producer. Anupam Reddy, Damodar Prasad and others related to the Telugu film industry have lauded the government.
