At a time when snap polls are expected to be held later this year in Telangana, CPM State General Secretary Tammineni Veera Bhadram has written to Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan that his party is interested in joining hands with the fledgling party in the state.
"Communist Parties are already in collaboration with Jana Sena in Andhra Pradesh to fight for resolving public issues. Jana Sena's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) has held a meeting in Hyderabad to discuss the contents of the CPM leader's letter. It has decided to hold a face-to-face meeting with CPM leaders in the light of a widespread speculation of early elections in Telangana," a statement from Jana Sena has said.
"The PAC feels that it needs more clarity to decide whether the alignment would be restricted to fighting for resolving public issues or it would go on to contest in upcoming elections to the Assembly. PAC has decided to invite CPM Leaders to Jana Sena party office in Hyderabad. After the meeting PAC will submit a report to our party president," the statement further reads.
