Telangana CM Revanth Reddy lauds Bharateeyudu 2’s social initiative

The highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster “Bharateeyudu,” titled Bharateeyudu 2 (“Indian 2” ), is set to grace screens worldwide on July 12th, captivating audiences in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi languages. This cinematic extravaganza, helmed by visionary director Shankar and featuring the iconic Kamal Haasan, has been produced by Lyca Productions and Subaskaran under the Red Giant banner, igniting colossal anticipation among movie enthusiasts.

Asian Suresh Entertainments LLP and Srilakshmi Movies have secured the Telugu and Ceded rights, respectively, for “Bharateeyudu 2” (Telugu) and “Hindustani 2” (Hindi). Recent developments have entwined the film’s release with a significant social crusade, initiated by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. In a precedent-setting move, Reddy requested that filmmakers produce social awareness videos on the perils of drugs, as a condition for potential concessions such as ticket rate hikes or preferential shooting locations.

The “Bharateeyudu 2” team faced a barrage of questions regarding their stance on this directive during a press interaction. Actor Siddharth, known for his candor, swiftly addressed the issue, emphasizing that stars inherently bear a social responsibility and do not require external guidance to fulfill it. He clarified that no Chief Minister had previously imposed such preconditions, sparking a public debate.

In an admirable show of solidarity and commitment to social causes, the “Bharateeyudu 2” ensemble, including Kamal Haasan, Samuthirakhani, Siddharth, and Shankar, released a video urging the public to abstain from drugs. They lavished praise on Telangana CM Revanth Reddy for spearheading this potent initiative, demonstrating their alignment with the campaign to build a drug-free society.

Revanth Reddy, in turn, extended his appreciation to the “Bharateeyudu 2” team, commending their efforts in creating an awareness video. His words were a testament to the collaborative spirit and the collective responsibility of the film industry and government in addressing societal issues:

“My heartfelt congratulations to the team of Bharatiyadudu-2. In support of the public government’s efforts for a drug-free society, the awareness video created by Shri Kamal Haasan, Shri Shankar, and Shri Siddharth, with the participation of Shri Samuthirakhani, is commendable.”

This chapter in the film’s journey highlights the intersection of entertainment and social activism, where cinematic ventures can harness their influence to champion causes that resonate with the public good. “Bharateeyudu 2” not only promises to be a cinematic spectacle but also a vehicle for initiating meaningful dialogues on pertinent social issues.
