In a disconcerting turn of events, popular Telugu YouTuber Praneeth Hanumantu and his companions have found themselves at the center of a significant controversy. During a recent live session, they made deeply offensive comments about a video featuring a father and his 5-year-old daughter, with remarks that included sexual innuendos and even references hinting at pedophilia. The clips from the session rapidly spread on social media, provoking a wave of public scorn and moral outrage.
Actor Sai Dharam Tej, a well-known figure in the Telugu film industry, took the initiative to draw attention to this inappropriate behavior. In a series of posts, he mentioned prominent political figures, including Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, urging them to hold the YouTubers accountable for their actions. Tej emphasized the urgency of addressing child safety, stating, "This is beyond gruesome, disgusting, and scary. Monsters like these go unnoticed on the very much utilized social platform, doing child abuse in the disguise of so-called Fun & Dank. Child Safety is the need of the hour."
In response to the public outcry, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka publicly acknowledged Sai Dharam Tej's efforts to expose the misconduct. Revanth Reddy assured, "Thank you for bringing to our notice this issue, @IamSaiDharamTejgaru. Child safety is utmost priority for our Government. We will look into this incident and take appropriate action to ensure that such incidents are not repeated." Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka also expressed gratitude to Tej for raising the issue, promising that the government would take necessary steps to prevent child abuse and exploitation on social media platforms. His message concluded with a call for collective action: "Let's work together to create a safer online environment for our children. #ChildSafetyMatters #TelanganaCares."
The incident has sparked a broader conversation about the responsibilities of social media influencers and the need for stringent measures to protect children from online abuse. As the situation unfolds, it is anticipated that authorities will take decisive steps to address the issue and reinforce the importance of child safety in the digital age.
Thank you for bringing to our notice this issue @IamSaiDharamTej garu.
