As has been anticipated, the Telangana government today announced the closure of important public places like cinemas and educational institutions in the State.

"All shopping malls, theaters and educational institutions to be closed starting midnight today till 31st March," an official note said. This is in view of the Coronavirus threat.

Earlier today, Telugu film producers, exhibitors and distributors had said that they would be happy to cooperate with the government in its efforts to fight the spread of COVID-19. Nani's 'V', Raj Tarun's 'Orey Bujjiga' and Pradeep Machiraju's '30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela' now stand postponed indefinitely. They were scheduled to hit the screens on March 25. The films scheduled for April 2, too, are likely to be postponed.
