The Telangana government has released cinema ticket prices by specifying the minimum and maximum rates for single screens as well as multiplexes.

As per the Government Order, the minimum ticket price for Air-Conditioned single screens is Rs 50, while that for non-AC single screens is Rs 30. The maximum price is Rs 150 and Rs 70, respectively, for single screens.

In the case of multiplexes, the minimum price is Rs 100 and the maximum price is Rs 250. For recliner seats, it is Rs 300. Recliner seats in single screens can be priced at a maximum of Rs 200 per seat.

Over and above the rates specified, GST is applicable.

Maintenance charges can be levied at Rs 5 per ticket by AC theatres and Rs 3 per ticket by non-AC ones.

Unlike in Andhra Pradesh, the limits are rational and have made the exhibitors happy. Telangana is also a State where hiked rates are allowed for big-budget films with a lot of craze.
