Telangana: Caseload, Mortality rate, Infrastructure Status revealed

The Telangana health department released the medical bulletin Sunday afternoon after holding on to data the previous day. The bulletin revealed that 1,593 new cases were logged by the State in 24 hours. Eight patients succumbed to the virus, while 998 recovered in the said period.
The cumulative tally stands at 54,059. The death toll to date stands at 463, while a total of 41,332 have recovered.
The State is performing well in terms of death rate, which stands at 0.86%, which is far less than the all-India average of 2.3%.
Total number of active cases stands at 12,264.
So far, 3.53 lakh samples have been tested. Tests per million is 391.
Status of infrastructure:
Isolation beds are 11,928 in number, of which 11,301 are vacant. Oxygen beds are 3,537 in number, of which 2,347 are vacant. ICU beds are 1,616 in number, of which 1,299 are vacant.
At Gandhi Hospital, the total bed capacity stands at 1,890. Number of patients in ICU is 123, while number of patients on Oxygen or CPAP is 433. Number of patients in wards is 259. About 1,075 beds are vacant.
