Telangana: 983 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

Telangana logged 983 new cases in the past 24 hours (as of August 2, 8PM).  The cumulative tally now stands at 67,660 in the State.  With 11 deaths in the 24-hour period, the cumulative fatality number stands at 551.  

The number of recovered cases stands at 48,609, with 1019 recovering in the past 24 hours.  

Case fatality rate is 2.13%, which is a slight improvement from the cumulative fatality rate until a day earlier (which was 2.18%).  The cumulative recovery rate stands at 65.44%, which is again a slight improvement.  

The total number of active cases now stands at 18,500.  About 84% of the cases are asymptomatic and are under home isolation. As many as 11,911 patients are in home and institutional isolation.
