Telangana: 28-year-old man found guilty of brutal killings, rapes

In Hajipur village in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district in Telangana, the skeletal remains of a 14-year-old girl were found in a dry well recently. This shook the conscience of the village, whose residents staged a protest at the local police station. They demanded an investigation.
Just a couple of days later, sending shock waves across the village once again, the skeletal remains of a 17-year-old girl were found near the same spot.
An investigation led to the unearthing of the crimes of one Marri Srinivas Reddy, a 28-year-old lift mechanic who has committed four brutal rapes of minor girls since 2015. Marri would trap innocent minor girls by offering them a lift. He would take them to a deserted place, rape them and kill them.
The police have found that Marri had killed and sexually assaulted an adult woman in 2016, and a 11-year-old girl in 2015.
The brutal criminal will be charge-sheeted and presented in the court. The Rachakonda police have said that they will seek capital punishment.
