Telangana: 2,012 new Covid-19 cases & other details

Telangana's new confirmed cases in the past 24 hours (as of August 4, 8PM) were as many as 2,012. With 13 deaths in the 24-hour period, the cumulative fatality number stands at 576.
The cumulative tally now stands at 70,958 in the State. The number of recovered cases stands at 50,814, with 1,139 recovering in the past 24 hours.
Case fatality rate is 0.81%. The cumulative recovery rate stands at 71.6%, which is more than India's cumulative recovery rate of 66.31%.
The total number of active cases now stands at 19,568. About 84% of the cases are asymptomatic and are under home isolation.
In another news, the KCR government has acted against Virinchi Hospital after going against Deccan Hospital, directing them to stop admitting Covid-19 patients. These hospitals have been targeted over charges of levying high treatment costs.
