Telangana: 1,986 new positive cases in 24 hours

The latest Covid-19 bulletin is out. Telangana has added 1,986 new positive cases, bringing the total to 62,703. The figure is as of July 30, 8 PM.
The number of recovered cases stands at 45,388, with 816 recovering in the past 24 hours. The number of deaths has been put at 519, with 14 dying in the 24-hour period.
Case fatality rate is 2.20%, which is a slight improvement from the cumulative fatality rate until a day earlier. The cumulative recovery rate stands at 64%, which has remained steady.
The total number of active cases now stands at 16,796. About 84% of the cases are asymptomatic and are under home isolation.
Political criticism of the KCR government continues:
Meanwhile, opposition leaders and politicians belonging to the Congress and BJP continue to lash out at the government for its alleged "mishandling" of the crisis. Congress MLA Jagga Reddy said that 50 deaths are happening at Gandhi Hospital, Hyderabad, on a daily basis. "The government should do everything in its capacity to prevent deaths caused by lung infections, etc," he demanded.
