Director Teja is always happily blunt. Recently, he remarked that Navdeep thinks he is a good actor, whereas he is not. In another interview a couple of years ago, he had boldly said that today's heroes, who act in just one film in a year or two, are useless. "Valla valana industry ki ae upayogam ledu," he had said.

In his latest interview to a Telugu daily, Teja has it that not everybody can be depicted to hit the villains like a Chiranjeevi, a Balakrishna, a Prabhas.

"If Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna or Prabhas bash up 10 baddies, people will find it credible. But who will believe it if 'pittantha' (small-bodied) heroes are shown to smash 10 people at a time? Nowadays, in the case of some movies, the hero doesn't match the script's range, or budgets exceed the worth of the script," Teja said.
