The technician union, one of the 23 Unions that constitute the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) has a reputation of being troublesome and hard to work with for a number of years in the past. The said union members disrupted the shooting of R.K. Suresh`s Billa Pandi` in Madurai, which had huge repercussions as the TFPC headed by Vishal took the strong decision and announced that they will not be working with FEFSI members in the future.
R.K. Selvamani the FEFSI chief and other members after long deliberation have temporarily suspended the Technicians union from the federation and have sent a letter to them warning them that if their reply is not satisfactory or if they take any other unpleasant action they will be permanently ousted. This action is taken because of the threat of other union members being affected badly due to the irresponsible action of one group.
